I don't believe this is going on again. Are they betting Trump will win and nominate the pale, male and stale to the SC?

Oklahoma Legislature passes bill criminalizing abortion
Of note at this time:

The bill now is on its way to Gov. Mary Fallin, a Republican, for final approval.

The governor has not decided whether she will sign the bill, according to her spokesperson Michael McNutt, adding that she needs time to review the legislation.
But she is an R.

I just read Senate Bill 1552. The gist of the bill seems to be not an abortion bill per se, but a legislative mechanism to cause a doctor's medical license to not be renewed in the State of Oklahoma for performing an abortion. This is a novel approach.

That is some very fine hair splitting there.

So CNN were out and out lying when they said in the link:

According to the language of the bill, anyone who is found to have performed an abortion -- except in instances to save the life of the mother -- will be found guilty of a felony and can receive up to three years in prison.

We mustn't fail to mention:

Under present law, "no person" in Oklahoma shall perform or induce an abortion "unless that person" is a licensed physician. The legislation passed Thursday would redact that exception, as well as revoke the licenses of physicians who perform abortions, unless the mother's life is in danger, writes Politico.

This does not include exceptions for rape or incest.

I do not know if CNN is lying, if it is CNN's left-wing bias, or just raw ignorance due to the article being written by three journalist with no legal education or professional experience.

The statute is not new. It was only revised as a necessary companion to the rest of the bill. The law is statute 63 § 1-731. Persons Who May Perform Abortions - Violations - Penalties.
