Preadolescence, also known as pre-teen or tween, is a stage of human development following early childhood and preceding adolescence
It commonly ends with the beginning of puberty

Adolescence (from Latin adolescere, meaning 'to grow up')[1] is a transitional stage of physical and psychological development that generally occurs during the period from puberty to legal adulthood (age of majority)

Adolescence - Wikipedia

preadolescent is generally defined as those ranging from age 10 to 13 years. Preadolescence may also be defined as the period from 9 to 14 years

so prepubescent could be up to age 10 or 9.

5th grade and below.

Were youths below ages 10 or 9 within ancient Greece's practices of pederasty? it was an 'introduction' to adult life... which would have needed to occur shortly near and around their age of majority, 17 or 18. Which is more during puberty than before.

Having it off with teenagers of your own sex was seen as okay for decadent Athenian aristocrats, and Plato built romantic notions on it. When I was a boy that age, we knew very well about arsehole-bandits, who were as romantic as a kick in the balls. People with strange habits will always look back to ancient Greece and the disgusting notions of those the Athenian democrats called 'the fat', because they carry intellectual prestige.
