Do they have a case or not? Because if they're actually serious and not bullshitting about wanting Trump out of office early, they have to be willing to make that case, and not hide behind worries that they may not get enough Republicans to support them! That just shows that they're either gutless or disingenuous, and neither is good!
And once again you are trying to give Bill Clinton a pass, so that pretty much eliminates getting Trump on any sex crimes of any sort!
You are thinking of impeachment as a legal proceeding, it is not, it is a political act.
There is no requirement to impeach, the grounds are "High Crimes or Misdemeanors" which can be anything the House decides, it can be wearing the wrong tie, if it gets a majority vote of the House says so, wearing the wrong tie is an impeachable offense.
If 67 Senators vote that the president is guilty of wearing the wrong tie, he is no longer President.
There is no appeal.
Impeachment is the act of removing an elected or appointed official from office.
The only time a President was removed from office, he resigned before the impeachment could move forward, because it's a political act.
Tip O'Neill was a serious dude, he lined up the votes, and Nixon resigned, no fluff required.
You can't call a juror and ask how he's thinking of voting, and promise him something if he votes the way you want him to vote.
But it's OK to call a senator, and ask how he'll vote, and offer him a reward for voting "the right way".

Not impeaching Trump, unless 67 guilty votes can be counted in the Senate doesn't mean that Nancy Pelosi is gutless or disingenuous, it means she's serious.

Okay, but you're still not getting my point! The 90's Republicans didn't care if impeachment was feasible or likely to succeed, and they couldn't even be scared off by the non-stop blaring opinion polls CNN came out with each day (back when people paid attention to CNN) contending that Republicans were losing support by starting the impeachment process in the House. They just did it anyway, because they could! And they wanted to tarnish Bill Clinton's reputation as much as possible in the process. The Democrats never learned how to play this kind of hardball politics....even though they should have when they've had the chance....instead of making deals and looking like they don't stand for anything other than staying in office.

So what?
Maybe Nancy has a strategy, don't just blow your load two years before the election, but while you have productive investigations proceeding by your newly won committees, keep digging and exposing, save the theatrics for the end, use it when you need it, if you need it.
But where there is still so much time, keep the subpoenas and the drip, drip, drip of evidence going.
Don't blow it, a Trump that survives an early impeachment, is an almost undefeatable in 2020, don't give him that power.
