Couldn't disagree more. I find the left far more brittle. You folks so often confuse policy with objective. Oppose extension of the welfare state? You hate the poor. Oppose affirmative action or open borders? You're a racist. Oppose confiscatory tax programs? You're a stooge for the rich. As night follows day, oppose progressive orthodoxy and you're in for some ad hominem.
right right right

we're stupid - you know better - because you don't like it when you're accurately labeled

but we're stupid and 'confused'

if I'm brittle, I find that preferable to being racist, homophobic, misogynistic, Islamaphobic, vicious, mean-spirited, petty, vicious, hateful and self-involved

Thank you, tris'. You've been most useful.

There you go, @Biff. See what I mean?

Whoa, Nellie Belle. Maybe being FAR MORE BRITTLE (and I don't agree but there's always a tipping point) comes with just a teensy bit of history---like the decades of RW outrage over welfare for the poor and disabled, equal opportunity, tax programs that devastate our middle class. We don't happen to buy the "trickle down" "tinkle on" economics.
Policies without objectives are kinda pointless, aren't they? Democrats/Liberals and some Moderates happen to think we have an obligation to EVERY citizen--not just the wealthy--not just the white folks--not just the powerful.

This seems to be a difficult concept for SOME on the Right. All we Dems have to do is shout the word "SOCIALISM" in crowded theaters and the Republicans run for cover. Guns are great but saying the word SOCIALISM??
We are accused of being snowflakes, but it's not the Liberals who are afraid to take chances---to make changes--to insist on equality, healthcare, education, environmental precautions, and basic human rights.

Again, you verify my observation. If you take nebulous and generic comments as a personal insult indicative of all progressive thinking, then you are demonstrating the hypersensitivity that I proposed earlier. You do not seem to be able to distinguish a complaint or opinion expressed "with spirit" from your image of yourself. If you are offended, then you are exemplifying the thin-skinned sensitivity of many conservatives I mentioned and which essentially blames others for "making you feel bad". If you are not offended, then you are complaining disingenuously.

Thanks to you, too, Clara.

And here we see it again, @Biff; you folks just can't help yourselves. Even in an attempt to argue the left is not prone to personal attacks with those holding differing opinions, you folks just can't help yourselves attacking the character of those whom you oppose.

Oh, now that's funny. Imagine taking such "nebulous" terms as "racist, homophobic, misogynistic, Islamaphobic, vicious, mean-spirited, petty, vicious, hateful and self-involved" personally? Tris' clearly meant them in a friendly, neighborly sort of way.

Whining is another fairly predictable characteristic of conservatives.
Conservatives love the disparaging comment and, then, complain bitterly when progressives respond harshly.

Sorry, NatMorton, perhaps some people just do not like your ideas. So what?
You seem to be a connoisseur of fine whines.

Little do you know. You nailed it.

You are collectivists and you DEMAND that everyone else follow along w/ your utopian collectivist world view. If they don't want to they are sexist racist homophobic nazis.
