Two women get pregnant at the same time. At 28 weeks, one woman has a premature birth. She then kills her baby and goes to prison for murder. The other women kills her baby at 28 weeks, while it's still in the womb. No one says anything about it. No charges are filed. Once again, the babies are the same age. Should the woman who had the abortion also be charged with murder?

BTW, this is not a hypothetical scenario. It actually happened. I want to know how the Left can justify charging one woman with murder and not the other.

Nope. There are no laws currently against the abortion there are against the woman herself birthing the child then disposing of it.

Maybe what would be a compromiseThose that support abortion should have been aborted, That way the Pro Lifers would have what they want Life, and Abortion Supporters would have what they want dead babies in the name of convenience.

This way only people that support life would be alive and those that support killing innocents would be victims of their own desires

The first case is accurate - a fetus once delivered is a baby. In the controlling law, Roe v. Wade, if the baby is viable, then it's a person. (Up to the point of viability, the fetus is not a person, from the POV of the law.)

The second case is not accurate - a fetus that is not viable is not a person. Roe v. Wade includes a carve out - abortion under the provisions of Roe is specifically not murder, as the fetus is not a person.

The third case - it's not the Left in general that makes the law - Roe was a decision by the US Supreme Court. That's where the argument is, & if there's a change to be made to Roe, that's where the change will have to be devised & implemented, all by the procedures & precedence of the Supreme Court.

Please remind me. What did Jesus teach about abortion?

Yes, we do. Because a certain segment of the population is going to continue to wrap that package in a different paper and pretend that that causes a different item to be in the box.

Maybe a grandfather clause

& Who knows? Maybe some of the lines of argument have changed? It's only been since 1973 CE, after all ...
