Remember the total bullshit accusation? Remember those of us calling Bullshit, as RIght Wingers chastised us for jumping to conclusions before "the evidence was in".

Well, the evidence is in, the state of Texas has paid the legal fees of the people it falsely accused, and the Secretary of State has resigned.
How did we know?

David Whitley, who served as the Texas secretary of state for about five months and was the face of a failed attempt to review the citizenship status of nearly 100,000 registered voters, resigned from his post Monday.

The wallists will not be shamed. Tomorrow they will ignore this fact and jump onto some other conspiracy theory.

The whole propaganda machine driving anti-immigrant sentiment is run by Nazis. I'm not making outrageous claims that can't be substantiated. They are who they are and it's shameful that the right fails to have a civil conversation about the crap they are spewing and where it originated from. Because of that, it hurts the credibility of anyone right of center as the entire right is being judged on this issue.

...

"Whitman, who had no child welfare experience, took over the post in 2016 after a federal judge ruled Texas’ foster care system was unconstitutionally broken. He made regional directors reapply for their jobs, said he would give nearly 150 special investigators forensic training and made criminal background checks a new priority.

"But Whitman’s early departure comes as the troubled department continues to struggle with high turnover among staff and heavy caseloads. His agency reported that 211 children in Texas died from abuse and neglect last year, up from 172 the year before.

I'm sure it's a tough job to dig out from the basement. Maybe next time, pick someone with social service expertise?

You'd think the people who posted about the original report of 95,000 illegals registered and voting in Texas would have something to say about it.
They said plenty about the original report, even though it was obviously nonsense.
