Man, you people a

astonishing how fucking dumb right wingers are
I see you haven't thought about the unintended consequences of a socialist model here in the USA either. Commi's think that it'll go from A to B, with no adverse effects on the common working class, which makes up about 80% of the US.
LMAO.. The government will tax the crap out of the rich and give to the poor. Just like Robin Hood. HA HA HA HA.. And the rich will just stay and continue to dish it out. HA HA HA HA HA

Paying off everyone's college debt for one. They created the debt. The students borrowed the money, they knew the high cost of education. So why shouldn't they pay it back? Hell, lot's of people lose their homes, should the government pay them off too? Or cars, Jewelry or all the other things they put on their credit cards. Hell, just relieve everyone of all their debts.

This is called picking winners and losers. And it's NOT the roll of the government to do that.
that is a valid point. I am against that, too. but did you also not like trump recently giving 25 billion to mainly big farmers and agro-businesses who were hurt by his China trade sanctions? more than twice the auto bailouts? basically to make sure they still vote for him?

DUDE, I'm an actual conservative. I don't like the government picking and choosing where our money goes. Especially bailouts. IF a company can't make it, they need to either change the way they're doing things, or find something else to do.

GM moved a TON of manufacturing jobs, and started buying mexican made parts for their cars. Did their prices come down? Nope. Not a cent. So since they outsourced soooo many jobs to Mexico, why should they have gotten a bailout? Especially when it wasn't so much the economy that was making them lose money. It was the HUGE US overhead, high wages, healthcare insurance for their employee's, and all the other benefits they get from the labor unions. Plus one of the biggest factors involved in all that, was the lease deals that was going on at the time, and the HUGE good used car market that was created by the leases.
Add ALL those three factors together, and you have a big company like GM teetering on bankruptcy. But bailing them out, after they've outsourced so many American jobs, I could not, in this life time support that.
Same as W bailing out the mortgage banks and wall street.
Big Farms are not a good bailout either. In fact, I was just reading this:

Six companies are about to merge into the biggest farm-business oligopoly in history

And the point is, the government is bound by the constitution to keep from having such a HUGE impact on our private lives. Every time they do something that's outside of their constitutional boundaries, they infringe on our lives, our freedoms and our civil liberties.
Example about the Civil liberties part: The government gives money to local police departments for swat gear, vehicles and weapons. Sometimes they even give them the stuff and money. This is wrong. If a local PD can't afford that crap, then the city needs to cut spending or increase taxes to pay for it. NOT everyone.
Why should a working class stiff in Wyoming be forced to pay for an armored swat vehicle in Louisiana?

You're not very bright, are you.

The BS sanctions the US put on Venezuela had something to do with their financial collapse. But socialism had a lot more to do with it than the sanctions. You can't run a monetary system like you'd run an RBE. It has to be one or the other.

Two words, "unintended consequences."
The global empire which controls the global currency used for all international trading imposes sanctions on food, antibiotics and other exports to Venezuela from all sources suing the goddammemd Dollar and causes the early deaths of over 40,000 Venezuelans, and yet you think "socialism" collapsed their economy! Something Venezuela never had in the first place, because rhetoric aside, Venezuela has always maintained a mixed economy through Chavez to Maduro.

And for dessert: here's the Venezuelan version of Pete Buttgig getting a heroes welcome on his arrival at the airport in Caracas:

cowardly, thieving bastard is just lucky to be alive today! After Trump's bullshit SOTU claims calling this asshole the "real" president of Venezuela, complete with Nancy quickly rising to her feet behind Trump to clap like the trained seal that she is, I'm thankful to know that the majority of Venezuelans (including opposition parties) know that the US was doing nothing for them other than steal their oil and try to impose a governor on them.....doesn't appear to be working.....so sanctions will continue and continue to get worse until the American Empire goes into severe depression and has to concern itself with crises closer to home instead of interfering everywhere else!

In spite of US sanctions, the 'government interference' you yack about, built more than 3 million homes for Venezuelans. The worst of US sanctions has come and gone, and if the US is unable to use economic weapons to control small nations like Venezuela, then the Empire will slide off into the sunset, and Americans will have to hope there is something to replace it with!

But for funzies, lets say Sanders get elected and the dems get a filibuster proof majority. And then all the crazy socialistic BS that Sanders is proposing get's enacted.
if the Senate were to flip blue, you still wouldn't have majority support for "all the crazy socalistic BS Sanders is proposing" < - whatever you mean by that

you wouldn't even in the House.

The establishment Dems you're always whining about - they're moderates at heart.

look up Sanders's track record for successful bills he's sponsored all his years in the Senate to see what I mean. He hasn't accomplished much at all.

Even before the US sanctions, Venezuela was heading down the toilet because Chavez was stupid and Maduro was equally or more stupid. Nothing to do with socialism. Sanctions and stupidity.

Why are you trying to change the subject. I said IF the dems win a big majority.
You don't read so well, do you? Or do you just deliberately try to change the discussion?

They're not moderate, dude. They're establishment. Do you even know what that means?

I don't need to look up what sanders has said & done. What he's saying now, is all I'm concerned about. You look up all that crap and then go to his supporters and tell them they're stupid for supporting him. I already don't support him.
