Cue rants of 'Christian Oppression'.
Yes, but that doesn't mean he's right, or they're right. I'm an Evangelical Christian who believes the Bible, and I wouldn't renew this guy's lease either. In fact, I be contacting a rental properties attorney to find out if there's any way to have him and his church evicted for using the property as a place to disseminate provocative hate-driven propaganda, beyond the express or implied scope of the lease.

Note this is not an issue of protected free speech. He did not say, "God allowed this as just punishment for people being gay," --which by the way is not found in the Bibie-- he said, "I wish the guy had finished the job." That is not a theological precept or a political opinion; that is a mandate authorizing his followers to kill.

In fact, if he is going to spew this kind of garbage from his pulpit, advocating violence and destruction, perhaps the IRS should look into terminating the group's tax-exempt status as a legitimate charitable institution.

This is a little off-topic but I was surfing channels last night and came across the 700 Club 'News'. WOW! Pat Robertson needs to retire--ASAP. He is a doddering old fool. Could hardly spit out a complete sentence, and the sentences he DID manage were flawed and inaccurate. Really strange show.

Poor Pat. He is an ex-Marine vet with a Yale law degree, but he is 86 years old, and probably quasi-senile. But that's the trouble with TV evangelism as show business--if the old guy with the one-time vision for a global ministry steps down, the business tends to fail. The producers are probably afraid to let him go.
