Naturally a man who was an abject failure in life and politics would support democracy, since it was the only way he could've ever achieved power.
Churchill?

Totalitarianism is, legitimately, the only form of government that can suppress the self-absorption of the general populace and destroy their self-centeredness so they may achieve greatness. With the advent of liberal democracies, we have seen climate change accelerate to catastrophic levels, we have seen the destruction of our heritage and our way of life in favor of a globalized pre-packaged culture ready for marketing, and we have seen an explosion of population simply unsustainable for this planet.
Sadly for your argument, such as it is, our heritage and our way of life began with the advent of liberal democracy and a dose of egocentricity. We like it; that is who we are, so I don't know what you expect. Fortunately for you, if you truly admire totalitarian governments, you have plenty to choose from. And while you appear to argue totalitarian governments are immune from destroying our planet, that simply is not so. We are just, arguably, the best at it.

Before you try to smear Juncker, please take a look at the criminal you have at the moment:

Alcoholic Junker had to resign in Luxembourg to avoid a scandal. Boris isn’t a criminal, he’s just a very clever eccentric. Don’t dismiss this guy lightly, Boris read classics at Oxford, he’s no fool. Unfortunately, like Trump and Hillary in the US, he’s all we’ve got at the moment. Boris and the British parliament, or Junker and the EUSSR? I’ll take Boris. :)

Sorry to point it out but it is lie. Juncker did not resign, yet. He is still in office and kicking:

British will be the 'big losers' in a no deal Brexit, warns Jean-Claude Juncker

He will resign when his term expires at the end of this year. Now it is absolutely true that he likes to drink. Last time I checked, it wasn't a crime.

Misleading the public with false statement actually is. Like Boris did. He was even dragged to court for that, unfortunately the british "judicial" system is not up to standard.

Junker resigned as the President of Luxembourg in a surveillance scandal years ago. That’s the scandal I meant, although it’s not widely mentioned. You need to check out the backgrounds of some of these people in the EU, past and present. It’s an eye opener. Being in touch with leaders from other planets? Most of that EU crowd are on another planet. :D

Oh god, he misspoke, other countries. Granted he is indeed a bit old, however Ursula von der Leyen doesn't drink, is the mother of 5 I think and is coming up as the new leader. Up to now they are doing a pretty good job in the EU. The euro btw is a powerful instrument in getting the laggards up to speed with their economies, I don't see any big problems in the future even with a hard Brexit. I think it will be a great benefit for the EU.

So please go ahead, crash out if you want, tomorrow.

If you guys turn this into a Brexit argument, you'll fight bitterly for 3 years and end up exactly where you started.
The brexiteers don't think so. They think after brexit date it will be over. It won't. They will then have to start trying to beg for a new deal start of negotiations. It will drag on for the next 10 years at least.

The EU is doing well? In which country? Communism, Fascism, National Socialism … All arose in Europe. During the last century Britain was involved twice in cleaning up the resulting mess, as was the US. The EU evolved into a political entity in the early 90’s. What good has come out of it for the UK? Brexit isn’t about not wanting to trade as an economic community, it’s about not wanting to be part of a Federalist Europe. Despite all the EU bluster, as a net contributor and importer, Brexit will hit the EU hard.

You can ignore this, or have a different opinion on what you think the EU is, or what it should be, but this was made to show people exactly what the European Union is.

Meanwhile, this drunken clown decided the fate of Europe. A sign of the times?
