Friendly word of advice: When you start comparing any american politician to Hitler, Stalin and Mao, you're going to lose. Those three men were directly involved in the murdering of 10s of millions of people. There is absolutely nothing an American politican has or can do that can even be compared to that. We need to tone DOWN the rheteric.
If you actually read what I said it is very relevant. Dictators are winning, Democracy is losing, globally. So, the question remains, did we learn noting from Hitler, Stalin, or Mao?

And I think this can answer your question. How can intelligent people look at Trump and ignore all the negative stuff. Well, there's a large segment of the left that has said for YEARS that republicans are racists, sexist, biggots, homophobic, and can be compared to, you know, Hitler, Stalen and Mao. If you're a republican one side regluarly calls you a racist, a sexist, a biggot and a homophobe, how are you going to react when someone like Donald Trump comes along and starts punching back? You're going to support that because you're tired of being punched.
More excuses for the feeble minded. Trump wasn't "punching back", he was feeding the hate, and fear. In return his ego was fed by the response. What you do not do is ignore all of the teachings of the religion you want to "protect".

Over the last 3 years I've started to wonder what the left and right prefer more: rooting for their own team or rooting against the other team. I think for the right it's clearly the later. I think the base Trump supporter would MUCH rather "own the libs" than stand for traditional conservative values. If Donald Trump is going to use US tax payer money to force his staff to stay in his private resorts even though it's more expensive than alternatives, conservatives look the other way because they know it pisses off liberals.
Again demonstrating the pettiness of the Trump lapdog.

And I'm pretty sure liberals aren't that far behind.
Difference is that the liberals are taking into consideration all of the people, not just a few.

It should be noted that I'm a liberal. I'm pretty much on the left on most major issues. I'm not telling you what I MYSELF think. I'm telling you what I think the RIGHT thinks. You may think it's the perspective of feeble minded lapdogs, but that's not going to help convince anyone who disagrees with you.

While there is some truth in what you've stated, there's much that can be argued. I agree that it's almost too easy to compare Trump to Hitler. Every president is labeled: Obama was a Marxist/Communist/Muslim. Bush was a war-monger, responsible for thousands of deaths. Reagan had dementia--the Teflon president. Roosevelt was a socialist.....on and on.
That's how Americans "roll". The name-calling doesn't make it true or even factual and NO. Trump has not gassed millions of Jews and that's where your argument falls apart.
If, in fact, Trump is using/abusing rhetoric, executive orders, the military, violence and abuse of the three branches of our government, he falls into the "coup" category of dictators.
Dictators demonize groups of people. They speak of being "president" for life. They appoint their families to a position of power. They hold military parades. They cage children and adults. They create dynasties. They admire fellow dictators. They threaten to JAIL their competitors. They show contempt for the press. They ignore subpoenas. They manipulate taxpayer dollars for financial gain.

Should we ignore these facts? Should we pretend that this president is "NORMAL" when he is nothing of the sort? Tone down the rhetoric? NOPE. NEVER.
There's only one way to handle a potential dictator and that's BEAT him ANY WAY possible. If it takes hyperbole, overkill, dramatization, and excessive comparisons, then so be it. It's time to sound an exceedingly LOUD alarm and hope that voters listen.

Is Trump normal? No
Is Trump standing by the regular rules of a presidency? No
Is Trump a dictator? No

Call him out for any of the thousands of bull crap he does that could hurt the country. But he is not a dictator. If you want to convince conservatives of your point you can't throw around this kind of rhetoric.

While I don't agree with everything you said, I think there's really something to the notion of intelligence being a massive appeal to the left and not as an appeal on the right. This is not to say the right isn't appealed by intelligence, but it seems to be a bigger factor on the left. Look at the recent presidents and presidential candidates

George Bush - He's an every day man. He sounds like me.
Barack Obama - Intelligent and well spoken
Hillary Clinton - Intelligent and experienced
Donald Trump - He sounds like me and isn't politically correct.

Even look at the current crop of candidates. Joe Biden is a gaffe machine and while he has the lead now he seems to be slipping. And you know who is gaining on him? Elizabeth Warren who is positioned as a former Harvard professor who's intelligent and has a plan.

People on the left really look at intelligence as the end-all be-all (to a fault if you ask me). It's part of the reason they look at Trump and are befuddled how anyone can support him.
It was against the law, punishable by death for a black person to

It was against the law in America for a black person to learn to read and write English, punishable by death. Not only were blacks killed immediately if it was discovered they could read and write English, but the white person who taught them was also killed or jailed, unless they were rich.

The greatest fear of rich white plantation owners, who were also the most influential politicians, was an educated black person. That fear persists to this day b/c they know education is the key to opening all doors and once open, can not be closed again.

Don't be ridiculous. I can, I will and I just did. My goal has nothing to do with convincing Conservatives.
That's impossible.
My objective is, to tell the truth. To state the facts. To pump up the voters who are still on the fence.
Trump may not CURRENTLY BE a dictator, but he's frighteningly close....closer than this country has ever been.

Gorgeous is a stretch. For a while the Secret Service thought an aircraft carrier was following Michelle then they found out it was just her fat ass. Obama's oldest daughter does have a drug problem. The worship of a lying anti-American traitor is fucking ridiculous. His color does not matter one bit.
I've only been on here a few hours and I already know to ignore the lies you post. I'm new here, but a seasoned political/social commentator, with articles in newspapers in print and on line, so that doesn't work with me.

Considering your dedication to disrupting and spewing lies, you should be paid extremely well. Having dealt with 1000's like you, the question I still ask is, "how can you stand yourself?"
It's well documented that lying causes several health issues.

In his own little realm of the government he is a "dictator" demanding loyalty to himself, not the country. And like all dictators he relies on lies, hatred, and division, to stay in power.

Call yourself whatever you want but treating Trump with civility did not work in 2016, and it will not work in 2020.

You are wasting your time trying to tell the Left how to use their propaganda responsibly. Every GOP President or Presidential candidate since Ike has been labeled a racist, even McCain whom the Left fell in love with after he went to war with Trump.

And looking at how all blacks seem to still vote "D" even though a large number of them live in the democrat killing fields of places like Chicago or Baltimore or even in New York where there have been more black abortions than births, they by in large still believe this propaganda and even though black unemployment are at historical lows.

Today, the Left has given up on the Putin conspiracy and have gone full bore "Trump is a racist" to beat him in 2020 instead of the Putin thingy. This is despite the evidence that Trump is not a racist, having had a black girl friend for two years who is perplexed at the racial charges, and a man who once asked Oprah to run with him as a VP.

In reality, the democrat party is by far the most racist, even calling one of their own out saying anti-Semitic things, but refusing to punish her or ban her in any way and then turning right around and backing her 100% on everything else while trying to convince us Trump is racist because he uses terms like invasion, or wall, or man or woman.
