From CNN no less, must be true.
If the economy remains strong, he has a shot. If it turns, he loses -- bigly. Trump's been taking credit for the economic numbers since the first few months after taking office. If they turn sour there will be no running from them. For good or bad, they're all his.

That's true. There is no indication that the economy will turn hard enough to cause that. The gains are so dramatic and deep to be completely erased by any one action. The only thing I can think of that might cause it would be a repeat of a 911 type attack or possible the Dems continuing to keep the Canada US Mexico agreements from passing or meddling with the China agreements.

Well of course they will back slide. We are at historic highs right now. If the economy crashes and stays crashed then yes it will damage Trump. If it is a moderate down turn and then heads back north then no it will not damage Trump.

We've been plagued by weak kneed wall street denizens for a few years now. They're faced with a new condition. Prosperity. They have been so conditioned to dump everything when the lights blink over the last 15-16 years that it's hard to keep the knee jerk down.

I think we are plagued with liberal economic reporters that are hoping for a crash and reporting that a crash is coming. They are wishing a crash so they could have a chance at actually beating Trump.

Oh, there are a few signs.

The amount of loss to match the effect of 911 is far greater numerically than it was then. A 350 point drop then was very significant, today its seen as a fluctuation. The effect would be determined by the market segment that took the big hit, they're not generally across the board.
