complete fool of himself. He would not shut up, interrupting others trying to ask their question, and standing up with constant yelling at Trump. Their were many in attendance and Acosta seemed to think he was the only one that should be heard. This was a long time and many did get their chance to ask questions...thanks to the President.

The antics of Acosta didn't do the press any favors. he insulted as many of them as he did the American people by his rude and idiotic display. I'm sure his bosses at CNN were very happy with his sacrificial screed. IMO the Prez should start having these idiots who are set on making fake news every time he holds a presser removed and their network banned from the WH. In his favor was the 90 min of Q&A he did with the mostly civil group. I don't know what the loons in the press corp expect to gain by this. They only cause their ratings to fall more when they do.

Post #1 has an assessment which is profoundly out of touch with reality.
Trump started out interrupting the reporter repeatedly. Part of it involved obfuscating the actual question to instead answer questions which were not actually asked.
Trump ended the discussion by insulting the reporter.
Trump attacks CNN's Jim Acosta in angry White House press conference

Trump got pissy because he was called on his propaganda. Pure and simple.

So, what took them so long? Up till now they've been mostly casting shadows at Trump, while trying to pretend everything's okay in Washington.

So, the mighty Republican President is unquestionable. Very fitting for a guy who really, really wants to be a dictatorial despot.

CNN isn't running the presser, Trump is. Idiots like Acosta need to be reminded of it every now and again. Perhaps if they tried treating him like they did Obama......er did Obama actually hold pressers? For 90 min? Where the adoring press got to toss soft ball questions? I mean Trump could just leave them twistin in the wind. When the press wants to create fake news by making statements disguised as questions and done in a manner that is simply accusatory the Prez, any Prez should refuse to answer and the reporter should lose the mic at that point. If Obama had been asked questions like that (if he actually allowed questions like that) you'd be screeching to high heaven.
There are a couple of ways to fix loons like Acosta who won't give up the mic. Have the sound man cut the audio from that mic and give another on a different freq to the selected reporter. Use a boom mic and have the operator move to the next reporter.
