Has anyone considered the uniqueness of Christ?

Who is like him?

Whose teachings and examples are adored by all religions?

Who else said that only through him can we know God, and then lowered himself to be our servant?

Who else fed us when we hungered and healed us when we were sick?

Who else is as famous having never been rich, never held political power, and never having an army to fight for you? In fact, who is as famous?

Who else has given their life for you?

There is none like him.

Siddhartha Gautama.

Buddha said a lot of the same things Jesus did, but 400 years earlier. Since the OT and the NT are as different as night and day and since the words of Jesus are very much like Buddhism, I'm guessing that part of the time between when Jesus was 12 and when he was in his 30s that he traveled to India.

Don't you believe that Jesus and God are the same? That Jesus is God? "Jesus is Lord"?

Jesus taught that only through him could man come to God.

This is a striking difference between Buddha who made no such claim.

So what would cause someone to make such claims live a life of a humble servant who have his life for us all?

Since much of what Jesus said was not only cherry-picked, but written decades after his death, I'm skeptical that everything attributed to him is 100% true. OTOH, he did say a lot of very wise things including, like Buddha, a path to enlightenment which could also be interpreted as becoming closer to God.

I see, so what Christ said was cherry picked but not Buddha.

What makes you say that?

The fact that people wrote about him provides greater veracity to who he was.

That is the power of eye witness accounts.

There is no proof that the Jesus character ever existed. He didn't even get the name "Jesus" until about 1631. And there is ZERO evidence that a celestial God creature of any kind has ever existed.

The relevant question is why do you believe in some unknown ancient person's delusion about such entities? At least create your own delusions.

If you want proof, take a math course.

If you want evidence, look to other sources like the writings of Josephus.

What Did the Jewish Historian Josephus Really Say About Jesus? - Jonathan Morrow

Most historians would agree that Jesus probably existed, but you are free to believe what you wish.
