The war against green house gasses is doomed.

Yeah you don't seem to mention the hundreds of other countries and corporations pushing for green power. All the sudden "Uh-oh, guess china still likes coal, guess global warming can't be fixed!"
Yeah, that's the typical stupid response to things. Oh, why recycle, these people don't. China's air quality is disgusting, BEijing is so cloudy from pollution people walk around in masks and get sick if they don't. During the Olympics, they shut down factories so not to show the horrible pollution.

And China is one of the leaders in solar, so I don't think this will last.

You're not addressing my point which is based off the headline of this thread which is that you seem to think that the war on global warming is hopeless because one country likes coal.
Only one? You should recheck your assertion. OBTW with China running ahead with coal epansion do you think the res of asia will not follow?

LOL- the Mayor of Houston announced this morning we can't control Mother Nature- he's a prominent Democrat- Mother Nature will do as she pleases and adapt- there are a few species of animals roaming the planet who have been around a long time, as has man- they adapted- man today will adapt, or die- and all the hand wringing and taxing and ignorance in the world won't change that- neither will forcing others to submit or comply to your will as wars have killed more men than the climate ever has or ever will and forcing one's will on another promotes killing- corporations push for what they think will increase their revenue- in other threads you cry about that- why now are you promoting their beliefs? 100's of other countries are none of our business unless they want to do business- then, they become our business associates- nothing more, nothing less- we don't have the right to force our will on them but, they do have the obligation, and the right, to retaliate to defend what is their's if acquired honorably- of course honor has nothing to do with politics in the US- but, there it is.

Might I ask exactly what is the point you're trying to make?
China will be really happy if the environuts win the war over climate change and we blow our future trying to stop the inevitable. When they're running the world the whole place will look like 1984. Except of course China, Bernies wish will be realized.

The rest of Asia ks not even close to the level of china. Not only that, but we can type lots of examples of countries moving towards solar and energy efficient sources and a few moving towards coal. It's just an illogical and nonsensical argument to just say that we might as well give up on global warming because china has.

Yeah it's not like there's thousands of nasa scientists who say that global warming has been caused by humans.

Did man cause the last ice age to melt about 12,000 years ago? Do you remember when ice was over 300 feet thick on what is now our northern border? Those cave men must have been really busy burning fossil fuels.
that warming was forced by the the earth's orbit, this warming is forced by fossil fuel use.
We are already in a mass extinction, with 200 species a day becoming extinct,
Man will adapt, by dying off in large numbers, by war, by famine, by pestilence, by disease. Nice future you're locking in, to avoid "hurting the economy".
