Trump's New Immigration Policy

Trump's own family wouldn't get in.

Donald Trump this week unveiled his new immigration plan that would prioritize skilled workers who could speak English.
But if Congress had adopted such rules in the past then relatives of most of his cabinet - and ancestors of the President himself - would likely never have been admitted to America.
The immigrant backgrounds of many members of Trump's team are a matter of pride for them but our test suggests their ancestors' hopes of crossing the Atlantic to build new lives would have been broken on the rocks of the new immigration system the president wants Congress to pass.

Key advisers and cabinet members including his son-in-law Jared Kushner would probably have had their ancestors turned away because they were not desirable enough.
Vice President Mike Pence would definitely not be here as his grandfather was the penniless son of a tailor from rural Ireland.
DailyMail.com looked into the past of the President and his top aides to see who would have been allowed in under Mr Trump's proposed rules.
We also calculated an estimate of the score they may have received from a border agent upon their arrival, based on the guidelines from the Trump White House.

How did they do?? AND how about the first lady??

This policy is opposed by nearly every business group in the country, that's not a formula for passing legislation.

The administration has significantly hardened the country's policies regarding illegal immigration.

The arrangement would establish the most sweeping changes to the system of lawful migration in decades and speaks to the president's most recent push to stem the stream of newcomers to the United States. Since taking office, he has banned numerous guests from select Muslim-majority nations, restricted the convergence of refugees, expanded movement captures and squeezed to assemble a divider along the southern border.

The immigration status in CA. is working out well, 20% of the population is below the poverty line with another 20% just above it, and soon to be in lower 20%. And guess who is forced to subsidize these uneducated, unskilled people to the detriment of their own families? Uncontrolled immigration is seriously hurting this state, and country. I'm with Trump on this issue. We are NOT the welfare department for the rest of the world who want to unload their problems.

Yes, YES! WE KNOW this is your favorite subject--opining the poor, uneducated, unskilled people of this country.
But "uncontrolled immigration"?? See....this is where your entire argument falls apart. America does NOT have uncontrolled immigration. We have walls and fences, and patrols and helicopters and drones and boats and surveillance equipment. *Billions* of dollars are POURED into the border every year.

"Currently, the number of border and interior enforcement personnel stands at more than 49,000. The number of U.S. Border Patrol agents nearly doubled from Fiscal Year (FY) 2003 to FY 2016. Additionally, the number of ICE agents devoted to its office of Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) nearly tripled from FY 2003 to FY 2016.
The United States currently has over 650 miles of fencing along the Southern border, record levels of staff for ICE and CBP, as well as a fleet of drones, among other resources." Illegal immigration is the lowest in 17 years and I'm sure Trump is taking all the credit, but the decline started under Obama.

So......your statement about uncontrolled immigration is an absolute, unadulterated lie. Care to reword your statement??

Is that why we have 11 to 20 million illegal aliens within our borders now?! Is that your excuse for bringing in over 1-million legal immigrants annually? The economic hardships placed on the legal citizens alone resulting from our present legal immigration system should be telling you that it's unsustainable!
Care to think about your ridiculous attempt at covering up the facts!

Oh so NOW it's ME bringing in 1 million immigrants annually?? Wow--I must be all-powerful. I had no idea.

You made a statement which was stupid and laughable. YOUR statement was that this country has uncontrolled immigration. I provided you with stats, data and a website and you tell me I am covering up facts??
You need psychological help.

Another deflection? You really are ridiculous. You provided "current data" about illegal alien immigration at the border. Which is a Trump accomplishment, while ignoring the current number of illegal aliens with our borders now, or the economically unsustainable number of legal immigrants allowed in annually.

WTF? Fine, so explain exactly what was ridiculous about her comment and how exactly it was deflecting from anything relevant to the conversation you were having.

Do you people just have set responses programmed and you use them whether they make sense or not?

Do you understand?
