Finally, somebody who knows what reality is.
You forgot to mention the international oil price crash was caused by the US with the help of Saudi over production for, at least, the last 10 years.
Thanks, although I have mentioned that before. It just falls on deaf ears most of the time! At the time, commodity analysts had been talking about rumors that there was a glut in oil supplies, and it was assumed that the reason why prices were kept up over $100 per barrel for a year or so, was just an attempt by major oil companies and oil producers to keep prices high until the slack could be removed. Someone bought up millions of barrels of oil even though it wasn't considered a wise investment 10 years ago/ but then all of a sudden, the extra oil was dumped on the open markets and the prices crashed. And rarely returned above $50 per barrel again, except when worries about a war between the Sauds and Qataris were building up.

They've had Venezuela targeted for destruction ever since the first coup to take out Chavez. And I think one of the big reasons why the Trump Co. is in a hurry to get the regime change op over and done with is because the Shale Oil Bonanza in America is about to reveal itself as a colossal fraud! The massive drilling projects in the Bakken shales of North Dakota and the Permian Basin rock layers in Texas, Oklahoma and Arizona have only been able to produce kerogen (shale oil) by continual drilling for new pockets of oil....which keep getting smaller and smaller, requiring more and more drilling just to maintain the flow. The billions of dollars in capital that have been invested in shale drilling is all money being pissed away, and when investment dries up for new drilling, then the small, wildcat operators who have been running these operations go bankrupt and try to skip out with as much as possible, leaving most investors hanging!

Anyway, the Saudi America myth is getting close to unravelling now, https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-09-04/coming-collapse-us-shale-oil-production according to commodity analysts who've never been able to figure out why so many have been so willing to invest so much in these ventures which carry so little return on investment. And when the US has to go looking for foreign sources of cheap oil.....guess where they expect to find them!

There is also a secondary problem with the shale oil business...the environmental damage caused by burning off most of the gas coming out of these wells....way too much to capture and get to market at the price levels for natural gas. This is obviously adding the increasing rate of GHG levels in the atmosphere we're hearing about of late...if we follow the right sources of news: The Keeling Curve

Many Americans aren't aware that during the Chavez years, Hugo Chavez had a CITGO program that provides free heating oil to be sent to poor American city neighborhoods in 2005,
Oh, Joe Kennedy is from my neck of the woods, so I'm well aware of that program and his role in it. I'm sure Chavez found him to be a most useful idiot.

Considering that Joe Kennedy III's main notoriety from a lackluster political career has been his corrupt, disingenuous and financially rewarding war against marijuana decriminalization and legalization. I would have expected better from a blackout drunk....but, so be it!

Sorry, no. I'm not buying the assertion that the horrors playing out in Venezuela are our fault.

We have certainly aggravated the situation. First we cut off their access to financing then we, their largest customer for their oil, embargo that very oil. We have almost single handedly bankrupted them. How can anyone say we haven't played a major role in their economic collapse ??

It's proof that capitalism is an evil, avaricious economic system that profits and increases in power from death and destruction! Even real socialist nations will have a difficult time surviving, while surrounding capitalist forces plot their destruction so they can harvest their resources for profit!

Hmmm, how about Germany, Japan, Kuwait, Panama, and Grenada for starters.
UMMMM, prove those last two microdot countries are better off today first! Kuwait's sitting on oil, and Japan and Germany! That was a long fucking time ago! How's the regime change track record of the past 50 years?
