Here's what she "really meant". Wealthy people should pay more taxes.
That's it, that's what she was saying, that's what nearly everyone got out of it.

But some people can't handle that discussion, so they fantasize shit that they would rather discuss and try their best to derail the conversation before it gets to "Wealthy people should pay more taxes".

Because they really don't have a comeback for that that makes sense.

here and there
The other day I had reason to come across this (in)famous quote from Sen. Warren and was reminded what an absolute shyster she is.

“There is nobody in this country who got rich on their own. Nobody. You built a factory out there - good for you. But I want to be clear. You moved your goods to market on roads the rest of us paid for. You hired workers the rest of us paid to educate. You were safe in your factory because of police forces and fire forces that the rest of us paid for. You didn't have to worry that marauding bands would come and seize everything at your factory... Now look. You built a factory and it turned into something terrific or a great idea - God bless! Keep a hunk of it. But part of the underlying social contract is you take a hunk of that and pay forward for the next kid who comes along.”

Does anyone really not see the glaring flaw in her principal assertion?
Seems to me someone here is bigoted against native Americans.

This is 100% spot on. Nobody gets rich on their own. Maybe they were educated by the help o fothers. They maybe got a student loan or a bank loan to get going, they had someone training them to provide them skills to succeed, they rely on an infrastructure in this country built by others, they could have gone to public school. They had business partners, collaborators, people owrking for them.

If one thinks that comment is stupid, I implore you to provide an example of someone who got rich all on their own.

Sorry, Clara'. Warren's got you duped.

The great lie in her statement, as I mentioned above, is that fourth sentence when she says "You moved your goods to market on roads the rest of us paid for." That last clause implies that somehow, some way, "the rest of us" paid our share to fund that infrastructure and the entrepreneur did not. That is blithering nonsense. The owner, being wealthy, is part of tax bracket that is bearing the far larger share taxation than is the average citizen. The business itself is paying taxes. The sales transactions from the business are generating tax revenue. The employees whose jobs were created by the business are paying taxes. A successful business is a tax revenue machine, not that Warren wants you to know that. She's too busy casting them as villains for the emotional satisfaction of those who can't be bothered to think these things through.

Its' BS.
This is incredibly dishonest picking point point out of the entire thing, which was just one example, ignore the rest and only focus on that.

So, did these companies not use taxpayer funded roads (amongst other infrastructure paid for by taxpayer money) to be successful at their jobs? The police protect their business, laws protect their business, infrastructure helps their business thrive, education system provides trained workers.

I understood what she said the first time heard it, and it made perfect sense then, and it continues to make perfect sense.
What do you think she meant?
Then you must be among the parasites who favor the taking of what others built because, somehow you think you have a right to. Liberal socialism in plain view.

Wealthy people are already paying the bulk of taxes. What the twit is saying is, paying the bulk is not enough, they want it all. Common sense tells me, that's not going to happen. Let's keep this issue going. Nothing says socialism like reading remarks from Liberal Progressives. Truth is, they don't want to delve any farther into the issue than regurgitating the old adage "tax the rich" because it might just expose the reality of what over-taxation does to our economy.
