What could Trump do to finally make his supporters turn on him?

In response to webguys insightful post about Colin Kapernick [sarcasm mode: OFF] I have asked a similar question about Trump supporters and I feel the answer is the same.

Nothing

Trump bragged during the campaign that he could shoot someone in the middle of 5th Ave and not lose any voters. We are seeing that claim being proven true right now. If Obama had had even HALF the scandals that have come out of the Trump admin Trump supporters would have been calling for Obama’s head. Instead we get the repeated cries of “Fake News” and “What about ________________?”.

Trump supporters no longer hold their man to any standards nor demand any kind of accountability. After 8 years of Obama they don’t want a functioning government or the fiscal responsibility they screamed about. They want payback. No amount of malfeasance, no amount of lies and broken promises, no amount of incompetence will keep them from their goal.

We see it here on DTT all the time. The “conservatives” here have openly stated that when Trump “pisses off the liberals” that is the end all and be all of a “good” policy. Is it good for them? Is it good for the country? Does it make the US look stupid? It doesn’t matter. Does it piss off the liberals is the only standard they have.

So what could Trump do to make his supporters turn on him? There actually is something.

He could start working with the Democrats to solve some of our problems.

Just remember, Trump supporters now no longer have any claim to morality or family values. Not that they were ever about any of that. They’ve lost any shred of integrity they might have had. When the pendulum swings back, it’s going to hit them hard.

Read the New Testament, perhaps. It can have quite a powerful effect on those who've never come across socialism.

I'm what you might call a Trump supporter, and I've turned on him plenty of times. I don't support Trump because Trump is Trump, I support him because of the action he's taking to turn this nation around, put it on the right track, and drive it in the right direction.

This question seems to imply a false narrative, that Trump supporters are a bunch of lock-step drones or something like that. I don't even believe that to be the case with Obama, although I do believe that Obama supporters are a bit more likely to be lock-step drones than Trump supporters.

It's very easy for Trump to do something to make his supporters to turn on him; all he has to do is stop doing what he's doing to Make America Great Again.

Really? Do tell us of his marvelous accomplishments. He's managed to poison political discourse, shit on minorities every chance he gets, screw up the budget, leave us unprepared for a really bad recession next time that comes around, is about to "ease" regulations on methane pollution, turn Americans against each other, etc. I can go on and on. There's no limit to the shitty things Trump has done.

Also, you have just admitted that the ends justify the means. You do not care how you get what you want, as long as you get it.
