How about that the human race is now advancing more on intellect than brawn so a chemist is more apt to attract an intelligent mate rather than a figurative low IQ valley girl that is attracted to the jocks.

The hereditary plutocracy claims that Social Darwinism determines that its offspring is superior and should be backed up by Daddy's Money all their lives. Yet this same conceited class won't pay superior minds the same high allowance its sons get in college. Contradicting your delusion about the way America is heading, jocks do get the equivalent of a richkid's allowance: expensive food, expensive housing, and expensive entertainment (plus free tuition, which is not what should be focused on as the ultimate reward).

Why should a High IQ think an intelligent mate is superior any more than jocks would think an athletic girl is the best mate? Your analogy is unbalanced, unless you think Kardashian bimbos are athletic, which you don't.

Besides, a PhD is someone who didn't earn a living until he was 30 years old. Why should we respect anyone who has no respect for his own intelligence? If he did, he would have demanded the same allowance in college that his future employers' sons get. Second, your degrees are discredited because you didn't have to compete with real men, who wouldn't go to college because it is work without pay. Your achievements since then reflect on the talent you should have stood up for, not on your class-biased indentured-servitude education.

Or for that matter, if it's solely about survival and reproduction, then we should just legalize polygamy, and allow the top 1% of men (Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, etc) to marry as many women as they like.

If the offspring inherit superior DNA, they won't need any of Daddy's Money to get ahead. They should be cut off at age 18 or we should cut them down for being frauds. Anyone who doesn't believe so is not a man; he's a manservant.

While it's not an absolute, it's fair to say that modernity tends to produce lower birth rates than higher ones. Even the higher life expectancy in modern societies doesn't help much since people are not having children during those extra "golden" years.

One could even say modern, civil society is, in a Darwinian sense, a negative. It's the people in the poorer countries that are placing more of their genes in to the next generation.
