I suggest you read and study American history if you want to discuss it.

"The First Seminole War (1817–18) began over attempts by U.S. authorities to recapture runaway black slaves living among Seminole bands. Under General Andrew Jackson, U.S. military forces invaded the area, scattering the villagers, burning their towns, and seizing Spanish-held Pensacola and St. Marks. As a result, in 1819 Spain was induced to cede its Florida territory under the terms of the Transcontinental Treaty. "

The slavers like Washington & Jefferson were afraid of losing their slaves so they started the war to keep them. And when they won they made slavery the law of the land and took over the national government for decades.

Fighting... Maybe for Freedom, but probably not

1811 German Coast uprising
This wasn't a war but denial of freedom.

Since the Texans had been successful in stealing Texas from the Mexicans so that they could keep their slaves they wanted to take the rest of the Mexican territory all the way to California for slave lands. So they started the Mexican-American War.

"The question of how to treat the new acquisitions also intensified the debate over slavery."
Mexican–American War - Wikipedia

And of course the Civil War. It wasn't fought for freedom other than the slavers wanted the freedom to expand slavery while the Union wanted the slavers to be content to stay in their slave States.
We wanted the land, the territory. Any excuse for taking it would do. *shrug*

Well I must say, you know as much about the Statue of Liberty as you do about the constitution, which is to say, not a whole lot.

Emma Lazarus wrote the poem "The New Colossus" about the Statue of Liberty. Lazarus was asked to produce a poem for the to raise funds for the pedestal, originally she refused, but was convinced that the statue would have a great effect on immigrants entering New York Harbor.

The original Bartholdi design was produced for a lighthouse at the entrance of the Suez Canal, but that was rejected, the design was reworked and submitted to France for the Statue of Liberty, being produced as a gift to the United States.
Here is a good essay on that crappy poem that has became a millstone around our collective necks =

Before the war there was a period known as the "Texas Troubles" TEXAS TROUBLES | The Handbook of Texas Online| Texas State Historical Association (TSHA) and the nuts wanted to kill all of the slaves in Texas. The big slavers didn't like that idea because of the cost so they just whipped a lot of them and lynched dozens. Texas was the most racist State in the Confederacy. It made the other slave States seem like bastions of liberty in comparison and we know what hell-holes they were.
