The MO of liberals is to get involved in the business of states they do not live in: guns, marriage, abortion, voting, who can go into what restroom, etc. This is no different.

You're alluding to the Supreme Court. Five of the nine members were nominated by Republicans. Those five claim to be strict constructionists, so take it up with them.
