Why are most Republicans against education?

So I guess criticizing America is now no longer covered under Freedom of Speech?
Or would your urge to violate our Bill of Rights in such a manner make you the "anti-American @#*$(&%"?

Those are slurs and you throw out meaningless stereo-types to try to attack "academia".

Academia and political slant revolve around education impacting policy choice.
Too many Republicans regurgitate what they are told to think.
Education typically involves questioning what one is told so that a person can either validate or disprove it.

Do you realize that when he asked if you had been to college, he was asking about attending a college, including passing classes. Not just visiting for a football game.

Many on the right love to claim liberals "hate america". That's their typical projection. They hate more than half the country. They hate liberals, minorities, gays, other religions. They hate the basic principles of this country. They live in secluded bubbles and it is really them who don't assimilate, they live in their little white, christian conservative bubble, while the majority of the country live with people of all races, nationalities, religions, sexual orientation, etc.

Which is also demonstrated in the whole if you don't like it, you should leave comments they often throw out there.

But Obama was the divisive one.
It's funny how Trump claims this, but I have never seen Trump try to claim that divisiveness has gone down since he took office. Evidently there are some lies even Trump can't stoop to...

Oh yeah! The GOP has been beating this drum for decades and it's gotten worse. They are convinced that educators at all levels spend our days indoctrinating children of ALL ages (even Kinder). Trump certainly thinks that....so obviously his devotees must parrot what he says and thinks.
I have explained this so many times on DTT and as usual, those on the Right won't/don't face the reality of a typical school day. K-12 teachers are handed a curriculum based on state standards--sometimes federal standards. They are told exactly WHAT TO TEACH and WHEN to teach it. Textbooks have been vetted by the school board and parents. The daily schedule is a tight one--with absolutely NO wiggle room. Even if teachers WANTED to indoctrinate there's no opportunity to do so.
Also, a teacher is rarely alone with the students. Aides and assistants are in the classroom. Parents/volunteers visit almost daily. Administrators drop in constantly. There's a round-robin of speech therapists, counselors, psychologists, & school nurses popping in and out. Classroom doors have windows or they are propped open.
AND now I will repeat what I have said a million times. If you really want to know what's happening in our public schools...........GO TO THE SCHOOL and volunteer. Read a book to the class. Ask how you can help. Get involved. Walk the hallways. That's the only way you'll really be informed.
I find it interesting that rather than ask if there's some truth to it, your go to is to dismiss it altogether instead. My ex-wife is an educator and teaches at a high school. During her time she had enlightened me to a number of cases where things get said to impressionable minds by the teachers. Examples according to her, "I almost got hit on my way to school today by an asian driver. I swear they live up to their stereotype." "So how many people are going to vote when you're old enough? I hope you choose to vote for the right people who want to make the world a better place like Obama." "Your parents are republicans? I'm sorry."

I've heard countless examples over the years and if you or anyone thinks that a teachers bias doesn't come out from time to time, then you're either naive or being disingenuous. Teachers may not all be trying to "indoctrinate" the kids, but there are far more democratic party teachers/instructors than GOP. I used to think it was because most people who really want to make money, tend to lean towards GOP and most who want to make the world a better place and don't care about money, tend to be democrats. Now, I just think those who can't do, teach and many of the idiots who went through college with a degree in philosophy, child development, social work, or any educational studies are destined to either be baristas at a local starbucks or get a job teaching their useless knowledge to the next generation. I look at it like this, you are a teacher or instructor...you have the attention of every student 5 days a week for a period of time. If you sat there and blurted out that you hate people who keep their blinkers on and don't change lanes....the kids will hear that and some may adopt that idea as well. If you say it every week at least once, more kids will adopt it. If you make comments like the crazy GOP is doing.....XXXX every week, you're literally influencing the kids minds and decisions. I just wish you could be honest about it and admit that sometimes things come out that probably are your own biased opinion and you shouldn't be directly or indirectly influencing them. The teachers and instructors job is to educate the specific lesson according to the plan or district...not influence their political party.

Now as for the rest who still want to deny it, I really believe you can't differentiate what is and isn't bias and it may be time to head back to school and learn.

Obama created the hate that many groups have towards Police. Rather than standing up and supporting our law enforcement when something bad happens and promoting all the good, he condemns the actions of those bad events and created bitterness and resentment towards police and law enforcement. That is the very definition of divisive. Look at how AOC attacks ICE and condems their entire purpose...instead of accepting and promoting people follow the law to come here and supporting a very difficult job they have...the amount of divisiveness that comes from the left is astronomical...I admit trump is not helping his side, but its about time we call stupid stupid and he is doing exactly that to a lot of people acting stupid.

no.

police shooting and/or killing unarmed citizens (and most times getting away with it) is why people felt disdain towards the police

why was it Obama's job to clean up the image they themselves tarnished? how is it Obama's fault they hurt unarmed citizens without repercussions?

complete and utter garbage. The black commuinity has had issues with polices for decades. You would too if your kind was being harassed and murdered while unarmed, meanwhile many of the armed white school shooters who just murdered dozens or more are taken peacefully.

Have you ever hear of NWA and "Fuck the Police". That was in the 90s, long before Obama

Yeah, Obama is to blame, not the cops that murder unarmed black people and harass them constantly. Proves you have no credibility saying such nonsense as that. Why does the right think they can make such obvious lies and pretend they are making an argument?
