Money and influence can get you a lot.

Same question came up years ago about how Jared Kushner got into Harvard.

That's the point isn't it? Since the Ivy League is virtually all private schools there's little to be done about their admissions practices. The list of Democrat pols whose kids have gone to Harvard and other Ivy League schools is impressive. Alumni influence is strong in these schools and money follows close behind. Their need to show that they really aren't prejudiced is weak, letting in a few charity cases every year.

It's a problem with all schools, though it seems to happen more at ivey league schools because their alumni, in general, are richer and have more influence.

To be fair, let's put Tucker Carlson into perspective. Carlson does a lot of stone throwing from his glass house when it comes to criticizing "the elite"

Born in San Francisco, Carlson is the son of former LA news anchor and former US Ambassador Richard Warner Carlson (he has his own wikipedia). While his mother left when Tucker was 6, his father remarried Patricia Caroline Swanson, the heiress of the Swanson frozen-food fortune and the neise of former Senator J William Fulbright.

Carlson eventually moved to the east coast to attend high school at St. George's School, a private boarding school. After graduating high school, he got a BA from Trinity College, a private liberal arts school in Hartford Connecticut.

But he presents himself as the voice for the every-day man.

Please

His Fox gig is worth about $6 million/yr. Assuming he puts in a 40-hour work week - doubtful imo - that's almost $3,000/hr.

The voice of the everyday man!!!!

Same question was asked about Bush, and his getting into Yale, or John Kerry. Then there were questions about how Gore got such an easy assignment to Vietnam. Then there are the assignments to the military acadamies.

Wealth has it's advantages.
