Just a reminder to racist morons like Trump:

In the much lauded and often cited (by Republicans) Fraser Institute rankings of economic freedom, El Salvador nets a 7.13 out of 10 and Slovenia only nets a 7.0… i.e. El Salvadore has more economic freedom than Melania’s country of birth.

https://www.fraserinstitute.org/economic-freedom/map?geozone=world&page=map&year=2015

So, from the standpoint of the only metric conservatives care about (other than white skin color), Donald Trump’s wife comes from a bigger sh%thole than the one he was crying about this afternoon.

But of course Trump wasn’t talking about economic freedom or capitalism or free market opportunity… all things that Norway (7.67 out of 10) has in spades BECAUSE of its socialist policies.

He was talking about skin color.

Because he’s a racist.

Either that or I guess he thinks his wife’s home country is a sh%thole.

Economic freedom? What a load of crap.

Slovenia is a fairly well to do country. El Salvador is very very poor.

Past time to have ...yes...merit based immigration. It has only been in the last 50 years, or so, that all this feel good immigration has become front and center. In fact, it is future generations that are going to suffer dire circumstances if this nation does ...not...start putting it's citizens first.

Lefties are odd people. They rant about how we are running out of water, out of life sustaining resources etc and then want to have open borders and let any and all come in. Worst of all they don't think those coming here should have to show they can support themselves nor are wanting to assimilate into "our" customs and way of life. It all goes along with their finding nothing wrong with disrespect to our flag and our National Anthem. Their "feel good, do it" they support and then bitch and blame others when some nut job kills another or abuses women etc. AND as they rant on about letting anyone become and "American" , they tell us all we are "immigrants".

Liberals lie like rugs.

In this case, Obama is right: It’s worth reflecting on how much America has changed since 1965, and examine the effects of the legislation Kennedy promoted that brought it about.

The passage of the act marked a fundamental change in America’s immigration policy: Rather than serving the interests of Americans and national unity by setting limits on immigration, the act put “family unification” as the top priority, serving the interests of foreigners first.

Kennedy declared:

“First, our cities will not be flooded with a million immigrants annually. Under the proposed bill, the present level of immigration remains substantially the same…

Secondly, the ethnic mix of this country will not be upset… Contrary to the charges in some quarters, [the bill] will not inundate America with immigrants from any one country or area, or the most populated and deprived nations of Africa and Asia…

In the final analysis, the ethnic pattern of immigration under the proposed measure is not expected to change as sharply as the critics seem to think… The bill will not flood our cities with immigrants. It will not upset the ethnic mix of our society. It will not relax the standards of admission. It will not cause American workers to lose their jobs.”

Slovenia , compared to the other slavic countries nearby, is the most affluent. It is a beautiful country and is on my bucket list of counties to tour, having a beautiful alpine ski area.

It is serious. I don't think the media ..nor government...is giving us the facts about the affects of all this. All we hear is how all the "immigrants" are hard working, great family people etc. Just what is the percentage of them in our prisons? Just what percentage of them are on some kind of welfare? What is their truthful crime rate?

You are going to have to source that one.
